finally the courage to attack the fiddle yard aspect of line No 4, on the
KISS principle 12mm angle was purchased and plans formulated. The afternoon was spent sawing sanding and cursing to produce a suitable frame, to find I had used the wrong size ply 4mm ( previously cut but rejected ) instead of the 6mm, quick get it apart before the glue sets result ho hum back to the drawing board

Setbacks like this are part and parcel of building a model railway - especially when you are trying something new. I have changed Rothervale out of all recognition as a result of various problems - both I and the layout have so far survived - and the layout has ended up much more satisfying in the end.
